Last weekend, Kelvin joined his peers, staff and visitors at our lovely Smith Secondary School campus for Science Day at St Jude’s.
The science labs, ICT computer rooms, walkways and basketball court were abuzz as students presented their work the attentive and enquiring visitors, staff and peers. Rigorous enquiries were made and innovative solutions were posed to issues facing teachers, farmers, business owners and citizens of Tanzania and the world.
On show was the enthusiasm for learning and the infectious school spirit here at St Jude’s. Award winning projects included an electric mower, an automatic solar irrigation system and a process for recycling plastic into building materials. You can read more about Science Day by clicking here.
It is only through your support that St Jude’s has the high quality facilities and great teaching staff to match the aptitude, enthusiasm and dedication of such bright but poor students. It is your sponsorship that granted Kelvin the opportunity to participate in such a wonderful Science Day and, in all likelihood, study at a secondary school level in the first place.
Thank you all at The Rotary Club of Ryde Inc for all you are helping to make possible here at St Jude’s!
