Feedback and Thank yous
Over the years we have received countless letters of feedback and thanks from the community, in response to the projects we have been involved with. This section of our site features just a small selection of what we have received, to give you an idea of the kind of work we do and the impact Rotary can have.
If you have any feedback, please contact us. We would love to hear from you.
Many thanks for nominating me for the NSW State Volunteer Award. I won the Regional (Western Sydney) Volunteer of the Year Award. The ceremony took place in the NSW Parliament House this morning.
The NSW Centre for Volunteering has donated a $ 200 as part of my Prize. I would like to donate it for the Borjegai Project.
Dear All at The Rotary Club of Ryde Inc,
We are pleased to confirm receipt of AU$1,460.00 in October 2013 by direct deposit. The $1,320 contribution continues your kind half sponsorship of our student Kelvin Jackson Laiser and our teacher Elkanai Pallangyo from November 2013 to October 2014.
The remaining $140 is a general donation to St Jude’s, and our Donor Relations Team will be in contact soon to let you know how your monies will be used at our school.
After celebrating our 10th Anniversary last year, The School of St Jude has now reached its 11th year! In 2013 St Jude’s will educate more than 1600 students and employ more than 440 Tanzanian staff across three campuses in Arusha.
This year, as happens every year, our students will be supplied with new uniforms, exercise books and stationery. They will have access to libraries to help with their classroom studies and will also enjoy a wide range of sporting, musical and artistic activities. Every day our cooks will prepare over 4000 nutritious meals and every morning and afternoon our buses will transport our staff and students to and from school, sometimes up to 40km away!
From all of us here at St Jude’s we say Asante Sana (thank you very much) for your kind contribution to our school. Your support will help St Jude’s maintain it’s commitment to providing a free, high-quality education to Arusha’s poorest children and will ensure that our students, including Kelvin, are provided with the opportunity to become strong and capable individuals, finding success in whichever field they pursue.

On behalf of all at St Michael's Meadowbank, we wish to thank the Rotary Club of Ryde for organising the recent Public Speaking Competition.
This competition is a most worthwhile activity and provides a wonderful platform for students to develop a lifelong skill.
We are thrilled to have won this competition once, let alone two years in a row, and Natalia and her family are overjoyed. We look forward to your Assembly Visit next Wednesday morning.
Hello Allen, Charles and Members of the Rotary Club of Ryde,
On behalf of all at St Michael's Primary School Meadowbank, I am writing to thank you most sincerely for the presentation made to Natalia by Mr Kilby at our assembly last Wednesday morning.
Charles, we are very, very appreciative of your visit and your time, so generously given. The awarding of the absolutely beautiful framed photo board was a lovely surprise for us all, especially Natalia and her family. The Perpetual Trophy will also be proudly displayed in our Administration Area.
Allen, thank you again for organising this competition for the youth of our local area.
Rotary Club Members, we also thank you for your generosity in all these matters. I have attached a photo of Natalia with our School Principal, Brian Story, and Charles Kilby at the Assembly Presentation (go to gallery and look up the Speaking Competition album).
I am writing to thank the Rotary Club of Ryde, and you as the organiser, for inviting our school, St Michael's Meadowbank, to participate in this year's annual Primary Schools Public Speaking Competition.
We were particulary thrilled that our student representative, Natalia Reale-Bryant, was awarded first place from a very competitive field of speakers.
I would be most grateful if you would be able to forward this "Thank You email" onto the very generous sponsors of the competition, without whose support such a worthy event would not be possible.
We are more than happy to help our community wherever we can. We look forward to assisting the Salvo’s next year!
Ryde Toyota was proud to be associated with Ryde Rotary helping the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal in 2012. Our assistance was small, hiring a Coaster Bus for two days from Ryde Hunters Hill Community Transport. And I had a great time driving the students of James Ruse Agricultural College from place to place collecting donations.
After 38 years in the local area, Ryde Toyota is committed to assisting local organisations where and when possible. We look forward to participating next year.
Dear Nora and the Ryde Rotary Team,
We would like to thank you for donating your time and efforts to ensure that the gift wrap service was provided for our customers.
Your help is certainly appreciated.
I got two tickets from the MS Society for the Circus Quirkus performance. Attended this afternoon & the performance was most enjoyable. Thank you for kindly sponsoring the event. Do pass on my appreciation to all the local businesses who supported this cause. It meant a lot to me to attend this performance.
Thank you once again.
Thank you so much for everything Rotary! It's been a really fun year for Interacts thanks to everything you organised for us! I'm sure Interacts will be delighted to work with you again next year :)
I personally would like to thank you for taking part in our 2010 Eco Family Fun Day. I hope it was a successful day for you. It is wonderful to have Rotary be part of our fun day. We could not have asked for better weather. We look forward to seeing you again next year. Thanks again for your participation.
Hi there, Thanks for sponsoring the Circus Quirkus on Sunday the 12th of September at the Sydney Convention Centre. My family did really enjoyed the show. The performers were very talanted. We are looking forward for another show in the near future. Friends of ours who work for the Defence Department took us there. Good luck on the project you are working on at the moment.
Firstly, I would like to say a BIG thank you to Rotary Club of Ryde for organising the Red Shield Appeal this year and letting our James Ruse Interact Club be a part of it.
It was an honour and pleasure for our club to participate and we look forward to the Red Shield again, next year.
To the Rotary Members, My family and I went to see "Circus Quirkus" on the Sunday 12th Sept. It is not often that we are able to go to such events as our son has a disability. We as a family had a great time and thought the show was a blast. Thankyou for your generosity and commitment to helping other people through such events. Thankyou
I would like to thank you for the tickets you provided to our church St Marks at Oakhurst for 'Circus Quirkus'.
We are a family of five struggling on one income and the family trip to the circus was thoroughly enjoyable for all of us and a welcome day out with our children (3,5,11) and something that we would have been unable to afford.
Thank you so much to you and the business that provided the funding for such an event. We truly appreciated the kind gesture of the tickets and being able to take our kids out without worrying about the money. Words can not adequately express the gratitude in our hearts.
Hi, Just wanted to say thanks to Rotary Ryde for sponsoring the Circus Quirkus perfomance our family saw today at Darling harbour. (tickets from Frederick St Kindergarten, Rockdale). We all really enjoyed the show, it was a great family day out.
Thank you for the warmth of your welcome to me tonight. Once again, congratulations on all that you Club is doing, for local projects, and for overseas projects. It is obvious that your Club if making a difference in the life of many people.

I am writing to thank you for your support for Circus Quirkus in Sydney.
Our family really enjoyed this event, especially my 15yr old daughter, Tara.
Tara has immune eosinophilic oesophagitis, she has a nasal tube that goes into her stomach & is allergic to 90% of food. Tara hasn’t been to school since November last year & doesn’t go back for another 6 months. She has been so down & unhappy. I haven’t seen her laugh & clap & enjoy herself for such a long time.
I want to thank you all for making her so happy, it was so priceless.
Hi, Many thanks to your organization for the tickets to Circus Quirkus which we attended yesterday (31/08/14).
My son (St. Gabriel's School) absolutely loved it, purchased a DVD which he took to bed and has held it ever since.
Your generosity and support to special needs children is greatly appreciated.
Hello, Just a big word of THANKS for sponsoring "Circus Quirkus" which my family and another family attended at Sydney Convention Centre/Darling Harbour. There were about 8 of us and we all loved it and wanted to say thank you, thank you - and please continue to sponsor this show it was funny, enjoyable, entertaining show. Something different, which we haven't seen for a long time. All the best.
We are very proud to be associated with the Rotary Club of Ryde and the Salvation Army. We look forward to helping out again next year.
Wow Allen, what a night! Great views of the Queens, hot food, lots of drinks at sensible prices, noisy, crowded and lots of happy Rotariians – what more could we ask for?
THANK YOU and your team of helpers for organising a terrific event. It will be easier next time!!!!
Now put your feet up and enjoy a hard earned rest.
From we three in East Gosford.
Just a brief feedback on the quality of the Ryde Rotary Website. I personally find your site informative and professional, it is easy to navigate and a massive improvement from the early days of the club website. Mit Freundlichen Grüssen.
“Asante sana” (thank you so much) for your contribution to St Jude's - you can't imagine how far it is going to go here in Tanzania! It is only thanks to people like you that we are able to continue to offer a high standard of education to the poorest and neediest children in this struggling community. With the school continuing to grow there is no end to the number of bills to be paid so your kindness and generosity is hugely appreciated.
You should know that your contribution is going towards changing the lives of children who would otherwise have few opportunities to concentrate on their studies. St Jude’s will give its student’s the chance to finish secondary school and go on to further studies, in turn becoming better candidates for worthwhile employment and breaking the cycle of poverty. The hope is that our student’s will in fact become leaders within their communities in a richer and stronger Tanzania.
It is great to know that the Rotary Club of Ryde is on our team as we work together to fight poverty in Tanzania through education.

Education proved to be significant
CONGRATULATIONS to Ryde Rotary Club for supporting the building of the Borjegai School in Afghanistan (front page, January 12). This project has great significance.
Firstly, that by providing a good quality public education for refugee students it allows them to see the value of education for future generations. It is also worth noting the foresight that Ryde Rotary Club has displayed in trusting Ali Rexa Yunespour and the Indigo Foundation, and in committing to a project that will make a real difference in the lives of so many young people.
Ali first came to the attention of readers of the Northern District Times in December, 2005 when he was doing volunteer work in Australia before he had enough English to apply for a casual job. The paper reported his fantastic HSC results in 2007 (UAI 96.45).
I think this will not be the last we hear of Ali .
Just wanted to say thank you for having Mali and I along last night to the changeover dinner. It was a brilliant evening. Your members are very encouraging and supportive.
We were honoured to be included in this special evening. I was so overwhelmed by the very generous donation of $2000 from your Club.
I will have Mali align your donation with 4 campers on the next Operation Hope camp and provide feedback to your club. When received would you mind passing this onto your members please.
Thanks for your ongoing support of Operation Hope.
